On February 11 of this year, representatives from the Korean company “Egnome” paid a visit to Samarkand State Medical University, where they were warmly received by the rector, Professor Jasur Rizayev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the scientific and practical initiatives to be carried out at the center, in accordance with the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Scientific and Practical Center for Immunology, Allergology, and Human Genomics at Samarkand State Medical University and Egnome.
The Scientific and Practical Center at Samarkand State Medical University specializes in research in genetics and molecular biology, including microbiome analysis, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), and oncogenetic studies.
An important outcome of the meeting was the agreement to jointly establish a stem cell laboratory, with Egnome providing the investment necessary to support its creation.
