Diplomas Awarded to International Graduates at Samarkand State Medical University

Samarkand State Medical University (SamDTU) has become a prominent hub for international medical education, attracting students from various countries, including a significant number from India and Pakistan. The Faculty of International Education, currently attended by more than 3,000 students from these two nations, continues to grow as a center for diverse academic and cultural exchange.

On February 18, the university hosted a significant event— the diploma awarding ceremony for 74 foreign graduates who successfully passed their Final State Exams. These graduates, having completed their rigorous medical training, are now equipped to embark on their professional journeys in the medical field.

The ceremony commenced with an address by the university’s rector, Jasur Rizayev, who conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to the graduates. He emphasized the importance of their future careers and encouraged them to strive for excellence as medical professionals in their respective countries. The event was further highlighted by the presence of notable guests, including Dr. Sunil Sharma, head of the “MD House” agency, and Mr. Rashid Mehmood, head of the “Arsal Education” agency, both of whom congratulated the graduates on this important milestone.

During the event, graduates Mohammad Doud and Mylavarapu Madhulika, representing the Faculty of International Education, expressed their heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all students. They thanked the university leadership and faculty for the exceptional educational opportunities and the supportive learning environment that had been created for them throughout their studies.

Samarkand State Medical University’s Faculty of International Education is a melting pot of cultures, with students hailing from countries including Oman, Kuwait, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Turkey.
