Strengthening the Fight Against Cancer: Samarkand State Medical University Delegation Visits South Korea’s National Cancer Center

As part of an official visit to South Korea, a delegation led by Professor Jasur Rizayev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, held a pivotal meeting with representatives of the National Cancer Center (NCC), the country’s foremost institution in the battle against cancer.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the NCC’s high-tech infrastructure, cutting-edge scientific advancements, and practical approaches in cancer treatment and research. The tour provided valuable insights into the center’s comprehensive strategies for diagnosis, therapy, and prevention of cancer.

A bilateral meeting between the two institutions took place as part of the visit, focusing on the prospects of future cooperation. Discussions centered around collaborative initiatives in cancer diagnostics and treatment, technology transfer, and joint scientific research. The sides expressed mutual interest in establishing partnerships to implement advanced medical equipment and launch joint projects aimed at enhancing oncology education and practice.
